glór hosts St Patrick’s Fest

The Fiddle Case

The Fiddle Case

glór will once more present its annual feast of food, fun, music and activity for the whole family to enjoy on the coming bank holiday.

The entertainment kicks off, literally, on Monday with the infamous Tulla Céilí band, which has toured all over the world and even played in New York’s Carnegie Hall. Join us for a great night of music and dancing!

After the parade on Tuesday, there will be face painting for the kiddies whilst parents can enjoy a great lunch, and a free café session with The Fiddle Case, featuring Eoin O Neill, Quentin Cooper, Jon O’Connell & Adam Shapiro.

Children’s band – The Speks – take to the glór stage following their previous sold out shows at glór.

The Speks are Clare’s own five-piece traditional Irish music band for children. Their debut album won a prestigious Parents’ Choice music award in the US where their music has been described as ‘Riverdance for toddlers’ and ‘grown up music for kids.’  They perform their nursery rhymes and sing-along songs set to acoustic Irish music while encouraging kids to sing and dance along. This is a great, fun event for kids, and tickets are flying out the door.

There also will be an exhibition of Clare’s top painters in glór gallery, free parking courtesy of Clare County Council, and food and coffee from Nolan and Lamb.
