Clare singer-songwriter Kate Purcell has been aligned with Westlife star Kian Egan in the Voice of Ireland competition.

The Feakle native put in a powerful rendition of Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ on the RTE One show last night to secure her advance through from the Blind Auditions to the next round of the competition.

Kate is resident singer in Dromoland Castle but gigs regularly at Irish Festivals and venues all over Ireland and abroad.

She joins near neighbour, Sarah McTiernan from Scarriff in the next round.

The Voice of Ireland is produced by Screentime Shinawil and airs on RTÉ One on Sunday evenings at 6.30pm.
