Weather warning in effect

weatheralertclareheraldMore than an inch of rain is expected during Friday, according to Met Éireann.

A yellow weather alert has been issued for Munster, Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan for the next 24 hours with between 25mm and 40mm of rain expected in the affected regions.

“During tomorrow morning, rain in the south will gradually spread northwards and turn heavy and persistent with the risk of thundery downpours which may lead to spot flooding,” Met Éireann states.

Saturday will be much drier however, with just scattered showers before more rain arrives on Sunday.
