Rainfall alert in place for Clare

ALERTFollowing a Bank Holiday Weekend of heavy rain, Met Éireann has issued a further weather alert for more rainfall over the next 24 hours.

A Yellow Alert is in place for County Clare with a further 35mm of rainfall expected up to Tuesday night.

Over an inch of rain was recorded at Shannon Airport at the weekend.

The remainder of the week is expected to remain unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain at times. Thursday however, is expected to be dry.
