Motorcyclist killed in West Clare

A man in his early forties was killed when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car in West Clare today.

Gardai are investigating the two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred outside Kilkee on the Kilrush Road (N67) at approximately 11.45am.

The male motorcyclist was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car was uninjured.

This stretch of road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
