GALLERY Clare Garden Festival 2015

The Clare Garden Festival held in Ennis Showgrounds on Sunday grew substantially in numbers and in attractions this year with over 2200 visitors and more than 70 quality plant, food and crafts stalls.

This year’s event also offered for the first time a Bloom-style Show Garden supported by Bord Bia and created by Castleview Garden Design.

Gary Graham, Bord Bia’s Bloom Project Manager said: “Bord Bia is now in our second year of supporting regional Garden Shows and we are delighted to welcome Clare Garden Festival on to the programme. Our main aims include assisting garden shows to create core gardening content and thereby differentiate themselves from other shows or festivals. We also aim to leverage Bloom’s highly successful gardens to increase attendance and satisfaction levels at regional shows and to support local and national businesses exhibiting at regional garden shows.”

He finished by saying: “I have had the pleasure of visiting Clare Garden Festival last year and am delighted to see this relatively young festival develop and raising its offering in 2015 and I would like to wish the very best of success to the organisers, the showgarden designer and all exhibitors.”

Clare Garden Festival was sponsored by BUD Garden Centre, Burren Smokehouse, Dundrum Nuseries, Ennis Food Festival, Ennis Tidy Towns, Glenbrook Nurseries, Future Forests, Sculptor Shane Gilmore, Shannonside, Williams Concrete Products, Zest! and Bord Bia.
