Killaloe student wins top art prize

photoA Clare student has won a top prize in this year’s 61st Texaco Children’s Art Competition.

In the 14-15 years age category, a Special Merit Award was won by 15-years old Éabha Andrea Hughes, a pupil at St. Anne’s Community College, Killaloe, for her work entitled ‘Birdbrain’.

Prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony in Dublin next month when all of the 126 top prize-winners will be in attendance.
