Ring may have accidentally slipped into a shopping bag

Fitzpatrick’s SuperValu in Ennistymon has confirmed that a wedding ring lost at the store on Holy Thursday has been located and returned to its owner.

Earlier today, The Clare Herald reported that the supermarket owner had issued an appeal to shoppers who visited the store on the day to examine their shopping bags for the wedding ring.

In an urgent appeal on its Facebook page, the supermarket says the owner of the ring misplaced it on Thursday 2 April while bag-packing for other customers.

Fitzpatrick’s this evening confirmed however, that the ring has been located and returned to its owner this afternoon.
