Following a brief return to cooler and less settled conditions later on Friday and during the weekend, our weather is expected to turn warm and settled again next week.

Met Éireann says temperatures will reach between 17c and 19c by midweek as high pressure reasserts itself over or close to Ireland.

Clare has enjoyed more than a week of fine weather with temperatures reaching 17c at Shannon Airport in recent days. The county’s beaches have also been thronged with the local hospitality sector describing the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend as one of the busiest in years.

The fine weather hasn’t been without its problems either however. The Fire Service has been called to deal with a number of gorse land, forestry and bog fires during the past week.

Below are a selection of photographs from around County Clare this week.
