Feakle woman genealogist completes Forensic course

Lorna MoloneyLorna Moloney from Feakle has completed a genealogy at the Forensic Genealogy Institute in Dallas, Texas.

The institute offered more than 20 hours of instruction with significant hands-on interaction with real-world work examples and resources. Forensic genealogy is genealogical research, analysis, and reporting in cases with legal implications.

Lorna is a professional genealogist, member of the Association of Professional Genealogist (APG) and the Society of Genealogists UK. She is the Project Genealogist for The George Boole *200 for UCC. She coordinates the Irish Genealogy Summer School for University College Cork – ‘Ancestral Connections: Names, Places & Spaces 2015’ for ACE (Adult Continuing Education) at UCC. Now in its third year, it will run from 28 June to 5 July 2015.

Lorna also produces and presents ‘The Genealogy Radio Show’ aired each Thursday at 4p.m. at Raidio Corca Kilkee, Co. Clare and Podcasts available at
