Clare footballers slump to defeat against Limerick

clare hurlingThe Clare Senior footballers slumped to a double score defeat to Limerick in their Division 3 clash this afternoon.

Played in Newcastle West, the game finished 2-10 to 1-5.

Having managed to just score 0-3 in the first half, Colm Collins’ men struggled again in the second half scoring only 1-2 despite being aided by a strong breeze. Clare’s only goal of the game came from Kilmacrud Crokes clubman Pat Burke.

Clare will now have to beat Fermanagh next week to have any chance of staying in Division 3.
