GAA rejects Bugler suspension appeal

clare hurlingThe GAA’s Hearings Committee has turned down an appeal by Clare GAA to have a two-match suspension handed down to Brendan Bugler overturned.

Referee Cathal McAllister sent off Bugler in Clare’s 2-22 to 2-20 Allianz League win over Dublin.

The Committee said it made the ruling “having heard and considered all submissions and evidence of witnesses” on behalf of Bugler and the CHC.

The decision means Bugler will miss Sunday’s crucial Division One relegation decider against Kilkenny in Nowlan Park.
