An eerie darkness descended on County Clare on Friday morning as 94% of the sun’s light was blocked out by the Moon in a rare Solar Eclipse over Ireland.
At 9.28am, the clouds parted just as the solar eclipse peaked. Here is a selection of shots from around the county.
