Heavy snow in Connolly, Co. Clare on Sunday morning.

Wintry showers will continue across County Clare overnight and on Monday, leading to some accumulations of snow.

Met Éireann has issued a Yellow Alert for snow and ice across the west and north of the country over the next 36 hours.

A band of heavy snow affected the county for a time on Sunday morning leading a temporary covering in parts. Met Éireann says wintry showers during Monday could see a covering of snow almost anywhere.

Meanwhile, latest indications suggest milder weather for the end of the week with brighter conditions across the country.
