Man (73) killed in Clarina crash, 2 injured

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Ballybrowne, Clarina, Limerick this morning at approximately 9am.

A 73 year old man was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at scene and his body was taken to Limerick University Hospital where a post mortem was carried out.

The occupants of the second car, a man, aged in his 40s and a 5 year old boy were also injured in the collision. They were taken to Limerick University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them at Roxboro Road Garda station on 061-214340, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any Garda station.
