The 2015 Ennis St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 17th will commence at 11am, it has been confirmed.

The recently appointed parade Co-ordinator, Ger Sweeney is calling on groups, businesses, societies and clubs in the Ennis area to get involved in this year’s parade.

Ger says, “Ennis has a great tradition of celebrating our national day. This year the theme of the parade is “Celebrating Our Community” so we’re hoping for involvement from all aspects of the community. The Ennis community is very diverse and rich in culture, pride, talent and creativity so we want to show it off and celebrate it during the parade”.

Last year over 40 groups took part making the Ennis parade a very bright affair. All the groups who participated last year are being invited to do so again this year. Along with that it is hoped that additional groups will come on board.

The Ennis parade is open to groups from all over the county. Ger Sweeney comments “there are many groups from across the county who might like to participate in the Ennis parade. Our theme of Celebrating our Community stretches to all parts of County Clare so I extend a welcome to groups from all over the county to join us if the timing of their own parade allows.”

Groups that participated last year are being contacted by Ger Sweeney and his team at present. Anybody wishing to contact the Co-ordinator can do so by email at ennisparade@gmail.com Please like Ennis Parade on Facebook and follow developments via Twitter.
