Cultúrlann Sweeney presents Scenes from West Clare

culturlannA joint exhibition of paintings by mother and daughter, Geraldine and Elaine Cowley.

‘Scenes from West Clare’ will be held at Cultúrlann Sweeney Gallery, Kilkee, from 9th March to 4th April.

‘Scenes from West Clare’  is an exhibition of paintings in both Acrylic and Oil directly influenced by the picturesque land and seascapes evident in West Clare.

Geraldine is a self-taught painter and has exhibited pieces in Merrion Square, Dublin for a number of years. Her parents were born in West Clare and she still holds a strong connection with this countryside.

Elaine is a graduate from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin majoring in painting and has also exhibited in Merrion Square, Dublin, has participated in craft fairs within Ireland and currently exhibits in a gallery in County Kildare. Both have built up a large repertoire of private commissions.
