Snow and ice warning issued for West Munster

weatheralertclareheraldMet Éireann has issued a snow-ice warning for West Munster.

The weather service is warning of widespread frost overnight, with a risk of icy patches.

Scattered wintry showers, mainly in parts of Ulster, Connacht and west Munster, could give accumulations of up to 3 cm in places overnight and on Tuesdaymorning, Met Éireann states.

The coming week is expected to be largely dry thereafter, with sunshine by day and subzero temperatures at night.
