Sinn Féin says it will hold two Right2Water protests in County Clare at the end of the month.

The events will take place on January 31st in Shannon town centre at 12noon and at the O’Connell monument in Ennis  at 2pm.

There will be a number of speakers representing all elements of the Right2Water movement including speakers from the trade unions, SF, AAA and community organisations.

A Sinn Fein spokesperson told The Clare Herald: “The water charges are now passed into law and from a SF perspective the campaign is focusing on repeal of the legislation. Our priority is to have a strong local presence on the 31st Jan to bring maximum pressure to bear on government TD’s”.
