Members of Marie’s Foundation were joined by members of the McD Dart Club and Danny Scullion to present a cheque for €5,000 to Willie McGrath, chairman of the West Clare Mini Marathon Cancer Centre in Kilkee.

Marie’s Foundation was set up by the family and friends of North Clare woman Marie Clancy who died in May from ovarian cancer at the age of 38.

€861 was raised as a result of the McD Dart Club Charity Event which took place in Mc Dermotts Bar in Doolin on 16th November last with over 40 entries and a guest appearance from none other than professional darts player Ronnie ‘The Rocket’ Baxter it proved a huge success.

€620 of the funds came from Danny Scullion (Marie’s cousin) who ran the Dublin Marathon last October and the remainder of the monies donated were as a result of the Doolin Harley Fest which took place in Hotel Doolin last August.
