Freezing conditions continue

frostMet Éireann is once again warning of icy conditions on Clare’s roads overnight with temperatures forecast to dip below freezing.

Temperatures will drop to between -2c and -6c resulting in a widespread severe frost and icy stretches.

Met Éireann says there also will be freezing fog in places.

Temperatures struggled to reach above 3-4c in many parts of Clare today.

Monday is expected to be somewhat milder in southwestern and western parts of Ireland with daytime temperatures recovering to between 6c and 8c.  It will remain dry however.
